Long-term Renting a Car in UAE Explain
If you are planning to travel to UAE, then it is important to know about the long-term car renting process. The process is very simple and easy to understand, here’s the explained article on it:
Availability of the Car
The first step is to check the availability of the rental car at the rental company. You can do this by using the online booking system or calling them directly. If there are multiple available cars, then it will be easier for you to choose one from there.
After you have chosen your desired car, then you will have to pay for it in advance. This can be done either through a credit card or cash. You will also have to fill out an application form for getting insurance coverage for your vehicle during the trip.
You also need to pay a security deposit amounting to one month’s rent amount (based on the daily rate). This amount would be returned after checking out your vehicle on the return day. You must keep this security deposit with yourself while traveling so that you can use it if anything goes wrong with your vehicle during the trip.
In Order to get a long-term rental, you must follow these certain Rules
- You need to register your driving license from the RTA department. You will also be required to pay a fee of 500 dirhams (Dhs) per day if your car is rented out for more than three days or two weeks.
- You need to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) from UAE within three months before renting it out. It is also important that any damage to your vehicle must be reported within 48 hours after leaving it unattended outside of UAE or Abu Dhabi or any other city of the Emirate. This must be done by filling out an insurance claim form and submitting it at the branch office where you rented out your vehicle.
Benefits of Long-Term Car Rental
A long-term car rental is a great option for travelers who want to be able to drive their vehicle in comfort and style. Here are some of the benefits of long-term car rental:
- You’re in control: The freedom of being able to choose your own itinerary and schedule is a huge perk. You can even make changes as your trip progresses, so you’re not locked into staying in one place from start to finish.
- It’s flexible: If you don’t have enough time for a traditional car rental or if you need something larger than what’s offered by most auto companies, a long-term rental may be just what you need.
It saves money: Long-term car rentals are usually cheaper than short-term rentals because they don’t have any restrictions on mileage, so if your vehicle gets damaged during transport or if it needs maintenance before returning home, there won’t be any additional charges.
